Route Tester
Roundz delivers leaflets door to door for Edinburgh businesses, and our app records each walk so every business gets a coverage report. We’re in a paid pilot and need people to walk our rounds for eight weeks, test the iPhone and Android apps, and tell us how each route really walks.

What you’ll do

Choose a round
Each week we offer rounds across Edinburgh; you take one that suits you.

Collect ten bundles
1,000 leaflets packed as 10 numbered bundles of 100, from our Edinburgh depot.

Walk it your way
Scan a bundle to start, follow the route on the map, pause when you like. Finish within 14 days.

Tell us how it went
Once the full round is delivered (1,000 doors), you fill in a feedback form on using the app and how the route went: the streets, how you found them, and any general feedback. It takes 15–20 minutes.
How it works
- Freelance. You’re self-employed: you choose your rounds and when to walk them, and can turn any round down. No shifts, no minimum hours.
- Paid per round. £140 through the app’s payouts (Stripe), £50 by bank transfer once your feedback is in. Both within 7 days of the round being checked.
- Tax. You handle your own tax and National Insurance (Self Assessment).
- Eight weeks. Either of us can stop at any time. If it goes well, keep walking rounds after the pilot at the standard £140 walking fee.
What you need
- Aged 16 or over.
- The right to work in the UK on a self-employed basis; we check ID before your first round. Student visas don’t allow self-employed work.
- An iPhone 12+ on iOS 17+, or an Android phone on Android 8+, with mobile data.
- Happy walking 8–10 hours a week, tenement stairs included.
About the test
- iPhone app through Apple’s TestFlight; Android app as a direct download from us.
- GPS records only while a bundle is open, with an on-screen indicator. Businesses see your progress and a simplified route line, never your raw location data (deleted after 90 days).
- You sign a short tester agreement and location consent before your first round.
